Liquidity Targets: Where to Take Profit on Gold
Rather than picking a target like "20 points", ICT-style trading uses the next pool of opposing liquidity — the place price is most likely to be drawn to next.
Candidate targets
- Previous day and week highs/lows
- Session highs and lows (Asia, London, New York)
- Equal highs and equal lows
- Recent swing highs and lows
- The dealing-range high or low

Only unswept pools count
If price already traded through a level, its resting orders are gone, so it stops being a target. BlessedForex chooses only from active pools beyond the entry by a minimum distance.
TP1, TP2 and the final target
- Build the ordered list of targets by distance.
- The final target is the first that satisfies the minimum R:R.
- TP1/TP2 are nearer pools that are at least 1R away.
The platform does not force three targets: if only one meaningful pool exists, there is only one.
Managing the trade
Some traders scale out at TP1. That changes the statistics, so it should be a rule you back-test, not a mood. In BlessedForex's tracking, the trade result is booked at the final target or the stop, and TP1/TP2 are recorded as milestones.
Limits
Price often stops short of a target or blows through it. Targets are places to expect a reaction, not guarantees. Always plan the stop first — see placing a stop-loss.
Questions & answers
Should I always target the nearest liquidity?
Only if it satisfies your minimum risk-to-reward. Otherwise the trade may not be worth taking, which is why BlessedForex rejects low R:R setups.
What if there is no liquidity above my entry?
Then there is no defined target and the setup fails the liquidity target condition, so no trade is offered.
Do targets have to be round numbers?
No, but round numbers often coincide with liquidity. The target is the resting-order pool, not the number itself.
Is TP1 the same as taking partial profits?
It is a milestone. Whether you close part of the position there is your choice; the platform records TP1 and TP2 as events and scores the trade at the final target or stop.
