Plain-English definitions of every concept the engine uses, exactly as it uses them.
Liquidity
Resting orders above highs (buy-side) and below lows (sell-side). Previous day/week highs and lows, session ranges and equal highs/lows are the pools BlessedForex tracks.
Liquidity sweep
Price trades beyond a pool and then closes back inside within a few candles. Acceptance beyond the pool is a break, not a sweep.
Displacement
A strong, full-bodied candle: body ≥ ATR × multiplier and body ≥ a share of the candle range.
Market structure shift (MSS)
After a sweep, a candle CLOSE beyond the last meaningful swing against the prior short-term structure.
Break of structure (BOS)
A close beyond the latest swing in the direction of the prevailing trend — continuation.
Fair value gap (FVG)
A three-candle imbalance: candle 1 high below candle 3 low (bullish) or the reverse (bearish). Tracked 0–100% mitigated.
Premium / discount
Above the midpoint of the dealing range is premium; below is discount. Longs prefer discount, shorts prefer premium — as a strategy condition, not a law.
Kill zones
London and New York windows, defined in real timezones so daylight saving never shifts them incorrectly.
Risk : reward
Reward to the next unswept opposing liquidity divided by the distance to the stop. Below the minimum, the setup is rejected.
